Make links that tie all your
social media sites together. For example, if you have a popular Twitter feed,
you'll want to link back to your blog. From that blog, you can link to
Facebook. And all of these different sites can link back and forth to one another.
Add in your blog, Facebook and URL to your Twitter profile. If you put up a
link for all of your sites, this will create more exposure.
Near the top of your blog, add a
Facebook "like" box. This will make it easy for people to
"like" your content on Facebook. Having this sitting on your blog
will let people like your page without having to navigate away from your site.
Making it simple will ensure that people are more willing to do it, thus giving
you better exposure.
Social Media Marketing Strategies
1. Set up your site so customers can
easily share material they find on there. Putting a widget on your site is the
way to glean followers for your site. It can also help your readers easily
share your content.
2. Think about the type of
relationship, if any, you want to develop with your customer base. If you
desire to maximize sales, try to advertise using social channels and remember
to keep it simple. If you'd like to take it a step further and mutually
communicate with your potential buyers, again, a minimal approach is best.
Introduce yourself with a simple hello. Your customers will be able to lead you
once this happens.
3. Before starting out with any
social media promotion, it is best to thoroughly research all the different
ways you advertise through social networking sites. No two social networking
sites are the same, and familiarizing yourself with their differences will aid
you in getting the most out of them. You might find that there is one
particular site that connects with your ideal target audience and to which you
should devote a big part of your efforts.
4. When posting videos to YouTube
make sure there is a link to click on that takes the viewer to your site. Set
the link up where it describes your video, and also have a Twitter and Facebook
button near your videos on your channel. It's better to get YouTube members to
subscribe to you on Twitter or Facebook, since they will share the videos that
they like.
